BUILDS AND CONQUERS
DESIGN THAT BUILDS AND CONQUERS
With over 220 projects (and counting) completed in the last 8 years, N Y I D has built a portfolio of unique projects, ranging from the strikingly innovative to the simply luxurious. While some are casual and others are “dripping in it,” they all add up to warmly abundant spaces in places near and far.
N Y I D moved their main interior design office to Austin, Texas in 2019, after almost a decade of being based in Santa Monica, California. Their projects are sprinkled throughout the world – from the Hawaiian islands over to the island of American Samoa, stretching from California up to Oregon and Washington, winding back down to Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Florida and jetting back up to New York.
Refusing to settle for a bottled design formula, N Y I D will stretch beyond. Their projects are extremely diverse, and not one is ever alike, choosing each and every time to do the work which allows the creative process time to percolate, as this in turn creates a vibrant and unique space. From the technical details worked in through subtle refinement, to those that are larger than life and refuse to wait for one to take notice, they leave an impression on all that stay and those that visit as a one of a kind space.
DESIGNING THE FUTURE
Natalie Younger, the Principal Designer is intensively immersed in every project the firm takes on. She sees to it that each project unfolds in the alignment of the highly considered development leading to the design concept.
She represents the very idea of being a true proponent for her client’s throughout the process, and begins each as if it were her home and investment, while watching the bottom line and making sure that each clients visions are in line with that line.
While Natalie takes immense pride in her creativity and her uncanny ability to envision the glorious potential just upon entering a room, she is grounded in her schooling, which includes all the vast technical aspects of interior architecture and design.
Although her depth of knowledge goes well beyond her formal education, it is her experience gained from being immersed in the field and on site during all phases of the construction process that supersedes all that was gained in the design studio.
Using all materials in the most curious ways, from unique resin finishes, metal and wood work, to one of a kind paintings and wallpaper that are all envisioned, sketched, and designed to spec, before they are ultimately handmade in their studio and delivered to their client. Over one thousand pieces and counting, they continue to build their portfolio.
